The Libyan Desert contains the oases Siwa, Bahariya, Farafra, ed-Dachla and el-Charga, which often emerge like a Fata Morgana (mirage) on the horizon after long desert travel. As the well-known White Desert with its bizarre limestone formations these authentic oases are also full of objects of interest, which let the heart of each desert traveler beat faster.
